The Perfect Stay

Take Glamping to the next level at Newlands Farm.

Situated in the South of the Lake District just outside of Kendal, the accommodation provides convenient access to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

Choose cosy glamping by staying in the Stables or luxury glamping staying in the Barns.

Enjoy the best of outdoor living whilst having somewhere cosy to retreat to.

All accommodation has towels and sheets included and are fully equipped with shower and w/c, tea & coffee, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. There is a terrace and seating area attached to each property with gas BBQ and seating areas. Please note that the rooms don’t have TV’s but we do have super-fast full fibre broadband provided by B4RN for streaming superfast on your own devices.

There are communal fire pits on site for resident’s use the BBQ hut is strictly for use of Bracken Guests.

Traditional Stables

Stables 1 & 2
Sleep 2 Adults and 2 Children

With a traditional stable door these converted stables have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.

All light switches and plug sockets are located by the kitchenette. Opposite the kitchenette you will find a seating area with a single sofa bed. Behind the seating area you will find a triple bunk bed - this has a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. Opposite the bed is a bathroom which includes a sink, w/c and shower. Outside you have access to a private seating area with canopy and BBQ. We also provide crockery, cutlery and a number of cooking utensils.

We recommend 2 Adults and 2 Children for this property.

Superior Stable

Stable 3 is the Largest converted stable with traditional features sleeping 2 Adults and 2 Children

This is the last stable on the row as you come into the site. With a traditional stable door. Stable 3 has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. All light switches and plug sockets are located by the kitchenette. Opposite the kitchenette you will find a Comfy sofa which pulls out to sleep 2.

Stable 3 has the luxury of a four-poster double bed. Opposite the bed is a bathroom which includes a sink, w/c and shower. Outside you have access to a private seating area with canopy Gas BBQ and seating area. We also provide crockery, cutlery and a number of cooking utensils.

The 3 Stables are heated by a modern infrared heating system that heats the core fabric of the building and the person not the air, this system also has many health benefits for you.

Heather Barn

Sleeps 4 plus an extra 2 beds can be provided on request.

Heather has been lovingly furnished to give you somewhere cosy to come back to after a day of adventure. Guests staying in Heather will benefit from a terrace and BBQ area outside and a secure enclosed outside area to the side - perfect for storing bikes, pushchairs or letting dogs outside securely. In front of Heather you will find the terrace area with a dining table and gas BBQ.

The entrance is located on the terrace through the glass Patio doors. Once inside you will find an open plan living, kitchen and dining area. The light and bright area includes a corner sofa with driftwood coffee table, positioned so you can enjoy the view. There is a large dining table and chairs for your group to relax and dine the night away or to lay out your maps and plan your walking route for the next day. In the kitchen you will find a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave oven with plenty of cupboard space. We have stocked the kitchen with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils everything we think you will need for your stay. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar and 1 pint of milk on arrival.

To the rear of the Barn you will find a double bedroom, twin Bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom is located in the middle of the property and includes a shower, sink and toilet. The double bedroom features a wardrobe, bed side tables with lamps and a dressing table with a stool whilst the twin bedroom features a wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps. The interior of Heather has stone tiles throughout with underfloor heating. There is a side door which takes you to the enclosed outside area which is exclusively for use by guests staying in Heather.

Bracken Barn

Sleeps 4 - 4 extra beds are available on request

Bracken has been lovingly furnished to give you somewhere cosy to come back to after a day of adventure. Guests staying in Bracken will benefit from a large outdoor area, a wooden pod which has been comfortably furnished and sleeps 2 guests and a BBQ hut with beautiful views over the adjoining field.

The entrance is located on the terrace through the glass Patio doors. Once inside you will find an open plan living, kitchen and dining area. Dogs

We have a dedicated fenced dog walk to the side of Newlands Farm Stables up the field track with runs along the side of the road.

If you don’t fancy cooking, the Punch Bowl at Barrows Green is a short walk away. Sizergh Castle, Lakeland Maze Maize and Kendal are all reachable on foot to name a few.
